In 2002 Betty moved to Galt Island, St. James City, located in sunny southwest Florida, from the Washington, DC area where she  had a long career in public accounting and business administration.  She began with Arthur Young & Co (nka Ernst & Young), later becoming an international controller and finally a successful business entrepreneur.

One fascinating aspect of her career was her 20-year stint as Co-owner and Chief Financial Officer of one of Washington, DC's "top 25" general contracting firms. There she was administratively and financially responsible for corporate operations with 200-300 employees specializing in the building and renovations of state and federally-government-owned buildings.  She developed relationships with business leaders, to include insurance providers, accountants, lawyers, engineers, appraisers, surveyors, and the management of multipe, multi-million-dollar building contracts from various government agencies. 

In Florida Betty began a new real estate sales career with an international real estate firm, quickly securing her broker's license, earned the coveted GRI designation, and founded Aqualand Realty, Inc which she owned and operated for five years. Her background and association with building construction has provided her with a vast knowledge of the real estate industry.  She invests in various types of real estate transactions (residential, farms, acreage, waterfront, recreational, commercial and industrial) both personally and from a business aspect.  In January 2010, Betty consolidated the real estate business of Aqualand Realty, Inc. into WEICHERT, Realtors - On The Gulf in Naples, Florida to serve southwest Florida.

Betty knows Pine Island, Sanibel/Captive Island, Cape Coral, Fort Myers,  and other surrounding market areas.  She enjoys the real estate business, and assists buyers or sellers in every possible way.  For some folks buying and selling is a complex activity, therefore, customers want to engage the services of someone like Betty who takes the fear out of the transaction.  Her advice to buyers and sellers is to always use a reputable broker firm with highly experienced salesperson like herself who can handle residential, commercial, or large acreage for development.  As a licensed Broker Associate at WEICHERT, Realtors - On The Gulf,  her responsibility is to see that she makes a difference by providing excellence in all aspects of real estate services.  Her capabilities have allowed her to service customers across the United States, and she has a base of satisfied customers to provide references and also to refer new customers to her.  Betty's latest  speciality is working with real estate foreclosures and short sales and is certified by NAR.
